rootname
In: Data Management
All data_vectors in a data_base have a file name, which is derived from one common name. This is the name without the extension, which the user specified as the name of PragTic’s task in the New/Open dialogue.
In the case of an existing file with the same name in the working directory a serial number is added to the rootname (i.e. before the extension). The files defined previously in the directory are preserved.
Example:
unit.fdb – a name specified by the user; the rootname is thus unit;
unit.son – the file name of a data_vector containing set of nodes; the file can be found on the relative path .\unit\unit.son;
unit0.son – another set of nodes in the unit.fdb data_base; the file can be found on the relative path .\unit\unit0.son.
